Quote from the official press release
We're excited to publicly reveal our partnership with Chargebacks911. This is a product integration our teams have collaborated closely on over the last couple months. By merging Chargebacks911’s expertise with cside’s client-side intelligence we are optimistic our combined solution will help global merchants fight back against friendly fraud and enumeration attacks.
Why Chargebacks911 Chose cside
cside specializes on securing and monitoring the client-side layer. Chargebacks911 recognized this as a gap in the existing anti-fraud landscape. Most anti-fraud tools focus on the network-layer and lack deep visibility on the browser (client-side) layer. This surface holds crucial forensic clues on chargeback friendly fraud and enumeration attacks. By integrating browser based device intelligence and script-layer defense, Chargebacks911 can deliver stronger evidence and proactive protection for their merchant base.
“By joining forces with cside, we’re delivering cutting-edge solutions that address the real-world issues merchants struggle with daily—from friendly fraud and false claims to hidden browser-side risks that compromise customer trust.”
- Monica Eaton, CEO, Chargebacks911
Strengthening Chargeback Evidence
The first solution delivered through this partnership is Chargeback Evidence, powered by cside’s device fingerprinting. This technology aligns with Visa’s Compelling Evidence 3.0 (CE3.0) standards, giving merchants the ability to stop disputed transactions before they become official chargebacks. Device fingerprinting data is used to prove that legitimate transactions originated from the same trusted device as the disputed transaction. The impact here is significant: blocked disputes never count toward Visa’s VAMP ratios. By 2026, Visa will reduce VAMP tolerable thresholds to less than half of their 2024 levels. This shift makes early dispute prevention no longer optional, but essential.
Successfully blocking chargebacks at the pre-dispute phase helps merchants cut down processing fees and avoid the formal Visa monitoring program that comes with additional dispute fees, account restrictions, and potential termination.
Simon Wijckmans, CEO of cside, noted: “Merchants shouldn’t have to choose between protecting their customers and protecting their revenue. This partnership brings both together.”
Looking Ahead: Enumeration Attack Protection
Chargebacks911 and cside are also collaborating on the next frontier: reducing enumeration ratios. Enumeration, or card testing attacks, can quickly push merchants into dangerous compliance territory. Soon, we’ll be unveiling a new joint solution that identifies and blocks these attacks in real time, keeping merchants ahead of regulatory pressure.
A Layered Defense for Modern Merchants
Together, Chargebacks911 and cside are creating a layered defense that protects merchants from both sides of the fraud problem: disputes and browser-side attacks. By merging Chargebacks911’s 14 years of chargeback expertise with cside’s award-winning client-side intelligence, merchants gain:
- Proactive chargeback prevention through CE3.0 evidence
- Real-time protection against enumeration and card testing attacks
- Browser-level visibility into fraudulent scripts and compromised user sessions
- Assurance of compliance with Visa, Mastercard, and PCI DSS standards
- Prevention of PII data leaks to adhere with GDPR, HIPAA, and more
